It is Vital Heynen the fifth coach in the history of Perugia in the Superleague! The Sir Safety Conad announced that it will be the technical belgian, born fifty years ago in Maaseik, the new coach of the Block Devils!
First experience with absolute Heynen in the Italian league, where is it coming from the reigning world champion, after a very long all around the Old Continent. The tour, which has brought Heynen, after the debut in his homeland for six seasons and is dotted with wins for Noliko Maaseik, to train between club and national will be organised in germany (both with the national on the bench of Friedrichshafen), Poland (also in this case, both in national and with the Bydgoszcz), France (in Tours) and Turkey (at the Ziraat Ankara), without forgetting the return in Belgium as coach of the national team. The tour, which has filled the trunk of the Vital, of the many experiences, techniques, and management of men, tactics and moral are essential in his adventure ball like his ideas for the game.
Heynen brings to the PalaBarton also a wall full of trophies and medals. The gold with Poland (which is currently the technician with Leon among its players) and the bronze medal with Germany in the last two editions of the World championships are certainly the highlight, but we must not forget the five league titles, five national cups and four supercups of Belgium, won in the Noliko (with a second and a third place in the Cev Cup 2008 and 2010) as well as three domestic cups and three supercups German, conquered by the Friedrichshafen, the last club team coached by Heynen.
The new coach for juve, currently in Chicago for the Final Six of the Volleyball Nations League for the help of Poland, is radiant for the agreement reached with the bianconeri club:
“Why Perugia? For three precise reasons. The first is the president because when I spoke I felt immediately a good feeling and that we are very similar and in harmony. The second is Perugia, which is understood as a city and as a public. Perugia is a city that lives for volleyball, is a square, the “new” in enormous growth. And I as a coach, I feel a bit like Perugia. The third is the team, a great team of the highest level, a team that will struggle to win everything, first of all, the Italian league which I think is the most important goal. I had had some contact with the Italian volleyball, but for me the emotional aspect is an important thing, and this was the first time I heard that the situation, the team and the timing was perfect to come. Then I am a curious person, I love change, and then it was impossible to say no to Perugia!”.
Heynen boasts an Italian is already very good (“I’m studying because I think it’s important to speak the language of the country where I work, is a form of respect towards the company and towards the environment”) and trace the broad lines of what will be from October forward:
“The players that are part of the team I know them very well, over the years I have addressed many times by the opponent. Of course, I will have the opportunity then to talk with each of them, but for now I can say that the main thing will be to work together for the construction of the team, build a team that plays together, a group united and with one spirit. All aspects for me very important. I’ll be in Perugia for the beginning of the preparation, and then at the end of the commitments with Poland. What are my goals in Perugia? The same of the company, win!”.
