On the occasion of the 55th birthday of Angelo Lorenzetti, the Corriere del Trentino today publishes a long and interesting interview of Erica Iron to the coach ofItas Trentino. The debut of the coach from fano, is a consideration of the philosophical age: “There are two points in the straight line of life that are sure, one is that of birth and that of death. Every now and fix the point where there is a useful exercise: it makes that part of the last line is superior to that which remains, and makes us vulnerable to the finitude of man.“
Going back to volleyball, Lorenzetti makes an assessment of his first three years on the bench of Trent: “on A personal level and professional, very positive. The only regret is the difficulty to be able to build, at this time, a project very stable. In my second year some of the error we have committed in changing a team that had done the maximum in the preceding year. Now in the Superalloy is the moment of Perugia and Civitanova, two squares that are investing a lot: not to give in to see them win a programming is necessary, but in volleyball it is complicated, not only for budget issues, but also of the market, because with these prosecutors, it is difficult to build the team that you would like. The year just ended, however, I think that would be a good start; I hope I have the strength, with the company, to give it continuity.“
Finally, a step on the dreams in the drawer: “I’d like to, before my story ends, play another final game with Trento. The second wish I think that it is now impractical, but you never know in life: I would like to coach in the Olympics. Dream, finally, that the movement of volleyball will be able to produce something new, that first of all will be able to see that the sport is minor in social responsibility are able to find other ways. The anglo-saxon model in this sense can teach a lot. Today many kids, maybe stop studying because they play in A2: but if you do not arrive within the first few teams, it is not the appropriate way to immerse yourself in real life. Training, so many hours lost, studies abandoned: it becomes a disentangling … to find survival for the next year. If this is what produces the volleyball, I think that we should ask us some questions.
